Effective as of May 10, 2025. Last updated June 8, 2026.
We collect various types of information, including personal details provided voluntarily by users and data automatically collected through our website. This information is used to enhance user experience, improve our services, and ensure secure transactions.
Healforce is based in Toronto, Ontario, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy law — primarily the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where personal health information is involved, Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
We align our practices with the following Canadian frameworks:
Healforce is a marketplace and booking platform. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. Independent practitioners listed on Healforce deliver care in their own professional capacity, and when they collect health history or other clinical information they are typically the health information custodian for that information under PHIPA. Our matching tools collect wellness preferences, not a clinical health assessment.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal information. Our safeguards include encryption, secure servers, and restricted access to sensitive data.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve user experience and analyze website performance. Users can adjust browser settings to manage cookie preferences.
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law, you may access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, withdraw marketing consent, and request deletion where applicable. Requests can be made through our contact channels, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.
If you have an unresolved concern, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, for personal health information matters in Ontario, the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. Where a practitioner is the custodian of your health information, you may also contact them directly to access or correct your clinical records.
Our service providers may process data in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions. When information is processed outside Canada, we require appropriate contractual protections consistent with applicable law, and the information may be subject to the laws of the country where it is processed.
We reserve the right to update this policy as needed. Any modifications will be posted on this page, and users are encouraged to review our Privacy Policy periodically.
For any questions regarding this policy, please reach out to us at team@healforce.org.
